Interprovincial Healthcare Coverage

For many years, Children’s Hospital has cared for patients from neighbouring provinces, including Northwestern Ontario and the Kivalliq region of Nunavut. Manitoba is honoured to provide this care to our close neighbours, as we are the closest pediatric centre for many of these children.

Financial agreements are in place with other provinces. If your child needs care at Winnipeg Children’s Hospital, almost all medical expenses are covered as if you were in your home province. If you have any concerns about payment coverage, please contact the Finance Division at 204-787-1070.
