Outpatient Visits

Patients arriving for clinic appointments should proceed to the assigned clinic to register.

Please ensure that you have your provincial health insurance card with you when you come to the clinic for your appointment.

Please note if lab work or special testing is required, please have this completed as per the instructions provided by your clinic team.  Testing and clinic appointments may be booked on the same day for your convenience.  A pediatric lab is located onsite in the 1st floor Childrens clinics, Blue Dr. Goodbear Zone.

When to arrive

Patients and caregivers should arrive 30 minutes prior to the assigned clinic time to accommodate for any screening procedures in the hospital.

Patients over 18

HSC-Winnipeg Childrens Hospital clinics can assess patients up until their 18th birthday for medical and surgical treatment.  In certain circumstances, patients over 18 years of age may be admitted with special approval, which is limited to patients who are medically complex and requiring access to specialized care in Pediatrics.
