Healthy Kidneys
Healthy Kidneys modules were developed by the Section of Pediatric Nephrology at HSC to support patients and caregivers in their learning about chronic kidney disease. The modules consist of a facilitator guide, a parent resoure, the module itself, and an activiy sheet for patients. Material in each module is targeted to young children, older children and adolescents.
The materials were developed in 2012 by members of our section (Dr. Tom Blydt-Hansen, Julie Strong RN, Diane McKenty RN). Our names and the Logo for the Children’s Hospital of Winnipeg are listed on the back of all the documents. The project was funded by the Children’s Hospital Foundation of Manitoba. Use of the documents is free, but should acknowldge the Winnipeg Children’s Hospital Foundation of Manitoba as original funders, and our section of Pedaitric Nephrology at Children’s Hospital of Winnipeg should be acknowledged for the content and original work.
